Trends
An uptrend is commonly described by higher swing highs and higher swing lows; a downtrend by lower ones. Definitions depend on timeframe and rules. Ranges and transitions can make trend labels ambiguous.
Example
A rising hourly trend may occur within a falling daily trend. State the timeframe before drawing conclusions.
